Video:
I know the video can be a tad fast. One of the joys of trying to quickly show a tutorial in under a minute. For those of us…myself included…who enjoy some real instructions and taking our time, keep reading!
Preparation:
Step 1 – Decide if you want a long tassel or a short one. Please note the following images are for a short tassel, but the instructions do not change if you are making a long one.

Step 2 – Lay the faux leather right side down and drawn a line 1/2″ below the top edge.

Step 3 – Using a ruler and preferably a rotary blade, cut strips from the bottom edge to the drawn line. Be careful not to go pass the drawn line. Do this the whole length of the fabric.

Step 4 – Use scissors to cut the strips all the way to the marked line.

Step 5 – Take the smaller piece of faux leather and feed it through the loop of the clasp. Then fold in half.

Step 6 – Align the bottom edge of the smaller piece attached to the clasp with the drawn line and fold from one end to the other.

Step 7 – Using the rivet tools, punch a hole for the rivet. Insert the rivet and secure in place.

You did it! I love how quick and easy this project is. You can pair your new tassel with so many things like a wristlet or purse.
